FINAL EXERCISE!!!
In the begining, I said this will be fun and easy. But then, I stopped so many times. I Kept saying, I can do this, I c a n d o this. And I did! And I am so happy I did.
It was fun, and I learned so much.
There are things I will continue to use like My Maps, Newsvine, Flickr, and My online calendar. I will probably check in on MySpace from time to time, but I don’t know if I will actually use it. Oh and Pandora, I will use that also. My daughters will continue to use Pandora too.
So you see, not only did I learn something, but I was able to go on and teach someone else something as well.

Thing 23, Yeah!
Libraries are not just a collection of books anymore, Libraries are a meeting place of people, minds, and ideas. We use tools, such as computers, MP3’s, cell phones, etc. etc to gather information from the Web.
Web 2.0 is our education, our social activities, and our entertainment.
Where would we be without our Libraries or the Web.

I picked Food from the Web 2.0 awards list. Of course. Urbanspoon from the food list which came in second place.
This site reviews restaurants by City, area, food and price. I checked out the Cleveland Hts. area, and Coventry area restaurants.
I wanted to compare the reviews against what I know to be true.
I loved this site, and will use it again.

I played around with online calendars and personal organizers. I joined Remember the Milk but, I’m not sure I will stay with that one. I just need something really simple, like 30 Boxes.

Del.icio.us and tagging are very interesting. The fact that I can tag a cookbook or a recipe, makes it even more worth me searching again and again.

I now have an account with MYSpace. Please don’t tell me to send a picture.
It really looks like a lot of fun. I can’t wait to get home tonight to start playing around with it.
I’m going to see it I can’t find some of my long lost friends.

Ok, I checked out Digg, Reddit, Mixx, Newsvine and, Stumbleupon. I opened an account with Newsvine. It’s more to my liking. I especially like their oddnews.
Stumbleupon was just odd!

I always see the word WIKIS, when searching the web. Now I realize it means so much more than just a dictionary term or definition of a word. I see that it is a tool, that can be used in many, many ways. It can be a collaboration between Liraraies, and staff, and patrons. I see that this is a very useful tool because it can be used in so many different ways.

Well, It looks like TECHNORATI, is the Granddaddy of all blogs. Surprisingly, or maybe not a surprise at all. I did find some information about EGGS.
I didn’t set up an account just yet. I would like to play around with this and some of the other accounts I have opened in the last few months.
There’s so much to learn and so little time.

I checked out My Maps on Google maps, and even sign up for an account.
This site is going to be very useful to me, as I love to travel and I love setting up an itinerary.
I’ve used Google maps in the past to get directions.
